Portrait of a young woman with a direct gaze and red lips, wearing an ornate white headdress and a veil framing her face. The oil renders the face in detail and in warm light, while the surroundings are resolved in broad strokes of green, purple and ochre that open out, unfinished, towards the edges. A presence at once intense and serene.
