An open countryside landscape in watercolour, with a pale path crossing the foreground horizontally between grasses and scrub. Behind stretch hills in greens and ochres dotted with trees, and in the distance a bluish mountain range beneath a grey sky. The quick brushstrokes and the white of the paper let the light on the land show through.
