On a quay, a seated figure looks out over boat hulls and the remains of vessels piled together, crossed by dark lines of masts and ropes. Ochre and golden light floods the scene, with violet backlighting and bluish shadows. A watercolour of energetic strokes and quick patches that gives the place a melancholy atmosphere.
