A field of intense yellow stretches out beneath a stormy sky in violet greys. Between them, a thin row of trees marks the horizon. The contrast between the light of the wheat and the darkness of the clouds creates a very expressive tension, and the bottom edge dissolves into free patches that reveal the paper. A direct watercolour, achieved with great economy of means.
