A flamenco dancer raises her arms and spreads the fabric of her dress in a sweeping movement that fills the whole sheet. The charcoal, rubbed and blended, alternates dense blacks with open whites, so that the figure seems to emerge from the very gesture of the drawing. A loosely drawn work that captures the impulse of the dance rather than the detail.
