A walk along the shore in watercolour, with small figures walking through the water beside the line of foam in the background. The wet sand fills almost the whole painting like a wide mirror in greys and lilacs, and a dark strip of sand closes the foreground. A simple, luminous composition with a low horizon and plenty of air.
