A circular colonnaded pavilion is reflected in a long pond that leads the eye towards the centre of the painting. Tall cypresses frame the scene on both sides, beneath a clear, bright sky. The watercolour plays with the vertical reflections in the water and with a restrained range of greens, ochres and greyish blues.
