A small Japanese-style wooden pavilion peeks out by the water, among green shrubs and, on the right, a tree in bloom in intense fuchsia pink. Behind, the vegetation dissolves into soft ochres and yellows. The landscape format and the loose watercolour, with patches blending wet-in-wet, give the whole a serene garden feel.
